Directions:

Step 1:

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2:

Place chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl.

Step 3:

Bring approximately an inch of water to a simmer in a saucepan. Then set the bowl in the mouth of the pot, ensuring the water doesn’t touch the bottom of the bowl.

Step 4:

Stir the chocolate until you have just a few small unmelted chunks left. Remove the bowl from the stove.

Step 5:

Hold each strawberry by its stem, dip it in the melted chocolate, and allow the excess chocolate to drip off.

Step 6:

Let the chocolate-dipped strawberries cool for at least five minutes and serve with love.

Just because we’re all about wellness doesn’t mean we’re against all things delicious. We simply indulge mindfully—and Valentine’s Day is one of the best times to do so! This February 14, dark chocolate-covered organic strawberries are on the menu.

Ingredients:

  • 4 oz dark chocolate—70% cocoa or higher, finely chopped
Dark chocolate typically contains less sugar than milk chocolate, and studies suggest that (in moderation) it may help lower the risk of heart disease and improve brain function.

  • 12 large, organic strawberries, preferably fresh long stem
Loaded with antioxidants and vitamins, strawberries are one of our favorite fruits. Just be sure to purchase them from the organic section, as more than 90% of samples tested by Environmental Working Group (EWG) in 2020 were found positive for residues of two or more pesticides.
